Xiaomi Mi 9 will be presented this week

Xiaomi Mi 9 will be released very very very soon

Two days before the launch of Mi 9 and to celebrate the event, Xiaomi previewed its next flagship in advance, revealing a series of images with smartphone information, including screen size, camera specifications, fingerprint scraper, wireless charging, and other features.

The triple rear camera configuration will include a 48 megapixel main sensor combined with a 16 megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12 megapixel telephoto lens. This will allow not only the feeling of depth of field in the images, such as photos of landscapes at wide angles, but also an even more powerful zoom on the object of interest, a phone that will continue the Xiaomi Mi 8 you can see here.

The entire configuration is vertically aligned on the back of the smartphone and has integrated artificial intelligence, is protected by a sapphire lens and has laser autofocus support (both PDAF and CDAF). In front of you, the screen will be an AMOLED made by Samsung in Full HD+ resolution. The fifth generation fingerprint scanner (25% faster) is under the screen.

Xiaomi points to a “wide colour gamut of 103.8% NTSC and 600 nit brightness with support for high brightness mode (HBM)”, and the screen has a screen-body ratio of 90.7%, which means a reduction in the lower notch. Speaking of notch, the notch is present in the water drop format device, which contains an ambient light sensor and an ultrasonic proximity sensor.

The smartphone will also offer features such as 2.0 scan mode and 2.0 “daylight” mode, promising better readability in any environment. For wireless charging, the smartphone will have a circular module to charge up to 20W, and on-duty gamers will be able to take advantage of the Game Turbo, a feature that will power the CPU and GPU for a smoother experience.

The sound quality will also improve: Xiaomi even claims that the audio will be equivalent to a large 0.9 cc speaker. The Xiaomi Mi 9 will come in three different colors: Lavender Violet, Ocean Blue and Piano Black.

There is also a fourth finishing option, revealed by Xiaomi founder Lei Jun, inspired by the film Alita. The smartphone will be called Battle Angel because of it and will have transparent back, in addition to offering 12 GB of RAM. The camera configuration of this model will also include the 48 megapixel main camera, but with one difference: instead of having a 6P lens with an aperture of f/1.75, this edition will have a 7P lens with an aperture of f/1.47. Another small difference is in the glass gradient, which is only 0.4 mm. Otherwise, the model has the same features and specifications as the standard Mi 9 that will be released this week.

Xiaomi Penta, 5 cameras in a phone.

Xiaomi insinuates telephone with five cameras

Once again Xiaomi wanted to surprise us, because this time, through the product manager of the company, shared on the social network Weibo a photo that is giving us something to talk about. It is a photo that shows other smartphones of the brand, made by an unknown phone, and accompanied by a good watermark, say, intriguing, and that has unleashed a multitude of rumors about its provenance.

Xiaomi Penta

We do not know what they mean by Penta, we know many other things, for example we know that the AI of the photo is synonymous with artificial intelligence, and the part representing penta remains a mystery, remains as something that comes accompanied by five elements, as an achievement reached the fifth time more or less, in this case, the fifth in a series of smartphone devices.

The logo is quite direct when mentioning the camera, then we understand that the smartphone that made the photo has five cameras or then some resource that involves software based on AI has five intelligent functions or image processing, or the same is only the fifth edition of some of its devices, the same is simply the number of beers that the marketing director drank yesterday, but the advertising campaign is working.

Five-camera phones

Although it might seem it wouldn’t be strange if Xiaomi was preparing a model with five cameras in the back, especially after the confirmation that Nokia will launch Nokia PureView 9 with the same amount of lenses during the MWC in Barcelona, so Xiaomi wouldn’t be the first.

In the case of Xiaomi, which sometimes launches several products in a single month, it’s very hard to imagine what the mysterious device would be like, if we’re talking about the Xiaomi Mi 9, the new Xiaomi Note 7 or who knows if a new device, which I’m going to call Penta.

There is one last detail that has made the rumors go even further. The most curious thing is that the publication was erased by the executive after the repercussion in the press about the possibility of that future Xiaomi Penta, five cameras, whatever it is, soon we will know.

Super Slow Motion camera in Xiaomi Mi Mix 3

Super Slow Motion (960FPS) in Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 camera

Xiaomi goes to imitate the large ones, or at least that appears to be the case with the leaks we have seen from the future flagship of the productive Chinese manufacturer, a Mi Mix 3 smartphone that will be formally presented next thursday 25th of October.

The camera can be one of the most important attractions of the device, which try to surprise in a very high vary that has long sought-after solutions to the ‘notch’ front. During this case, it looks that Xiaomi opts for a sliding resolution without servomotors or automatic components, but just as effective and spectacular.

Much is expected of the new Mi Mix 3, and in fact it is the differential range of a Xiaomi that finally dared to break the hegemony of the greats with this range of terminals that will soon release its third iteration from one of the Xiaomi flagships

People have discovered that could be a hidden functionality in the computer code of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, and it looks that the new heavyweight of the Chinese firm would have the capacity to record super movie video at up to 960 FPS, inserting it in direct competition with Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S9 and S9+, Xperia XZ2 or Xperia XZ3, among other mobile phones.

Both Sony and Samsung take advantage of the advantages of a DRAM chip integrated within the Sony IMX345 device, a solution that permits storing almost instantaneously and briefly massive amounts of information, making it doable for the device to capture the 960 frames every second for real.

There is a distinction between the solutions enforced by Sony or Samsung and also the one developed by the boys from Xiaomi, who in their case use frame interpolation to achieve slow video while not the requirement for their camera to capture and store such an outsized range of pictures.

According to the code strings Xiaomi can enable the choice interpolating from 240FPS to 960FPS, and then decoding the video at 30FPS to urge the slowmovi impact, something that will be compatible with the Sony IMX363 sensor mounted on the Mi 8 and POCO F1, and presumptively in the Xiaomi Mi 3 smartphone.

As if this were not enough, and providing the code is already implemented within the Xiaomi camera app, someone has managed to activate it in his Xiaomi to show us that although it’s useful, the video is not really recorded at 960FPS.
